Wow!  This is Congress at it's finest.  And some great tv viewing to boot.

The Labor, Health and Human Services bill is under consideration in  in the House this week.
And the Democrats are in their prime, and on their favorite turf.

Having restored funding to so many health and educational programs ravaged by the self-serving Right, many moderate Republicans are joining with the Democrats to push their hard core colleagues off the cliff into a heap every with 10 minutes vote knocking their amendments into the trash can.

I think I actually shed a tear..of joy...

Joe Lieberman.

Joe Lieberman is on a hateful Independent jihad against the Democratic party.

I only caught the tale end of his appearance on Stephanopoulos this morning, but that was enough. Actually, seeing the tale end of Joe is always the best way to view the little beast without wanting to put a Guantanamo bag over  his head.

Because Joe's last live words on George's show were used to express  his 'disappointment in all of the Democratic candidates'.

While on the other side of his mouth and at the at the same time, he acknowledges the nationwide disappointment with Bush and the Republicans.

So...what, leave it all up to him, the great(I)??

Well "I" think Joe is about to do everything he can to get a Republican elected in '08, to insure himself a continued position of power.  Why stop with just Collins?

This guy really thinks he can game the system, again.  And come out on top of everyone else, again.

2. Don't make big deposits into Chase Bank, unless you want to be reported!  

What hell money can bring sometimes......

Chase And Washington Mutual really suck really bad, compared with other banks more standardized policies.

1.  I've just learned the hard way that Washington Mutual does a few things differently than any other bank.  And it just cost me dearly

Millions of people have sadly and unwittingly taken advantage of all the the banks massive campaigns to get hold of all that free home equity, by offering open credit lines one can easily access in a variety of ways.  

My beef is with one specific part of the package offered to homeowners:  a special checking account -set up to be written off of the line of credit allotted....

The checks look normal.
But imprinted somewhere on the check, usually under the banks name, is the distinguishing phrase  "line of credit".

All checks are not created equal.

A friend of mine use to work at a shady car dealership.

"Once you've selected a car you're taken into what's called a 'closing booth'.  Your salesman, if he fails to get you to agree on a sale, must keep passing the baton off to a succession of other salesmen and 'closers'.   Until you finally sign, or walk out"..

The Iraqis have been trying to walk out.

But Secretary of Defense Gates, making a 'surprise' trip to Iraq, is the third senior US official to visit Baghdad this week, following John Negroponte, the US deputy secretary of state, and Admiral William Fallon.

And as he promised Congress he would do, he finally spoke the truth:

As I typed this, C-span was airing the joint FBI and DOJ press conference on the indictment of Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA).

What a parade! Count 'em! 15 crowing officials are crowded around the podium patting themselves on the backs for all their hard work on the two year investigation of one lone African-American Democrat, caught with $90,000 in his freezer.  
And connections to  Nigeria.  
Wow! Well that looks and sounds pretty scary doesn't it?
Requiring 15 Justice officials to huddle together in.. tri-UMPH?

Of course it's still ongoing and they can't discuss too many details, like the timing, but hey it's The Bush Show.
